The Historic DC Bar Guest Ranch is located southeast of Jackson Hole Wyoming about 35 miles as the crow flies. Located where three mountain ranges come together, the scenery is breathtaking. The DC Bar Guest Ranch is also home to Bridger Wilderness Outfitters, our guide service business.
The Ranch is located in the lower end of the Gros Ventre Mountains about a mile up from the Green River with views of the rugged peaks of the Wind River Range and the Bridger Wilderness Area. This Historic Ranch sits at 8,000 feet in elevation in beautiful alpine meadows where the Aspen and the Pines come together. We are bordered on two sides by the country’s oldest and largest national forest, the Bridger-Teton. Activities at the ranch are very diverse with everything from river float fishing trips, Pack Trips into the Wilderness, Winter Snowmobiling, Hunting...
We are looking for seasonal staff to work as cooks, housekeepers, and wilderness guides. Also, For about 20 years now we have been running an intensive 4 week Outfitter and Guide school where we teach the outdoor skills needed to become a top quality wilderness guide.
We also have some full-time, year-round positions available.

As an employee you can ride or take advantage of some of the best hiking and fishing anywhere in the world! This is one of the best places you can be to enjoy your days off! We try hard to give each employee two consecutive days off, and at times we allow you to save up your days off for 3-4 days in a row so you can explore Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
On all employment we offer room and board as part of the deal. The facility is rustic and lodging may be either in cabin, bunkhouse, or tent in the woods. Employees eat the same food as our guests.
Compensation includes monthly salary, room and board (no charge for room & board, it is part of the compensation package). Employees eat the same food as our guests.
Wifi is available if you bring your own laptop.
You have the opportunity to ride horses. You can also take riding lessons and fly-fishing lessons. We have great stocked ponds and a lot of employees fish as long as you're not in the way of the guests.

Most of our employees drive here, and we've worked with employees in the past to coordinate rides with other employees.
If you want to fly in, the nearest airport is in Jackson Hole, WY.
Because of our remote location, it's a good idea to have a car here. That way you have the flexibility to go to Jackson and tour Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
You should have some outdoor experience prior to applying. You will be living outdoors most of your time here and prior experience living outdoors is very important. You should be used to hard work. You will come up against many different types of adversity and you will need to figure out how to best resolve each one. You should be a self disciplined self starting type of person. A lot of responsibility will be placed upon your shoulders and we will count on you to handle your share. We offer curriculum that will allow you to learn all you should need to know to start guiding.
