Seasonal Jobs at the Philadelphia Zoo


The Philadelphia Zoo was the first in the United States and is celebrating 150 years in 2009. The captive breeding program is among the best in the world and the zoo works with groups from around the world to protect the natural habitats of the animals in their care.

At 42 acres the zoo is home to more than 1,300 animals, many of them rare and endangered. The zoo features a children’s zoo, a balloon ride, a paddleboat lake, and many interactive and educational exhibits.


ARAMARK Parks and Destinations provides the Philadelphia Zoo with concessions, event planning, premium dining needs, catering and on-site restaurants.

Getting Here and Getting Around

The Philadelphia Zoo is at the corner of 34th Street and Girard Avenue in Fairmount Park, the world's largest landscaped city park. Two miles from downtown Philadelphia, the zoo is easily accessible by car from the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76). Public transportation is available using SEPTA via the #38 bus and the route #15 trolley .  We also offer shuttle service from 30th street Penn Station.
