Alaska State Parks depends on volunteers to help manage and maintain our parks. Volunteers provide services that would not otherwise be offered. In turn, volunteers receive valuable training and experience for their service. There are several facets to the VIP program. Perhaps one of them is for you!
JobsWe have a multitude of outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, and more in and around our parks.
Most positions have rustic housing and a small stipend. Please look under the job description in the catalog or on-line for more information.
Transportation is not provided to Alaska. Certain rangers will provide transportation to and from projects on specific dates. Others will need their own transportation. Please look under the job description in the catalog or on-line for more information.
