We have a number of opportunities where you can be based in Anchorage or Seward, Alaska. Imagine being based in Anchorage, Alaska for the summer, having your work day include a trip through Denali National and State Parks, past Mount McKinley, and end up in Fairbanks for the evening. Holland America/Princess does not provide company housing in the city of Anchorage but a large portion of our employees tend to share housing for the summer to keep expenses at a minimum. Anchorage has a fairly large metropolitan area and residents are well aware of the seasonal housing needs of people arriving for the summer. This makes the job of finding affordable seasonal housing in the Anchorage area not too difficult.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Air transportation arrangements can be made through you hiring manager. We offer a repayment program for these arrangements that will allow you to repay the amount of the air ticket through your earned wages once you have started to work in Alaska.

The city of Anchorage offers a great many things to keep you occupied with a variety of restaurants, theaters, and of a myriad of gift shops. If you choose to get out of the city you can enjoy activities like fishing, sea kayaking, rafting, camping, and hiking. Some of these activities can be enjoyed with a short 20 minute out of the city. Alaska and the Anchorage area hold a great many opportunities to fill your free time while here in Alaska for the summer.
