Room and Board
Our housing is dormitory style and non-smoking. Most likely you will have one or two same sex roommates. Married couples, managers and supervisors will have private rooms with private bathrooms. Sorry, we do not have housing for families or pets. In our employee dining room we provide three well-balanced meals per day. Room & Board is $13 per day.
You will be living in one of the most unique locations in the world. Pahaska’s Old Lodge is Buffalo Bill's 1904 “Gem of the Rockies”, built in the heart of our nation's first National Forest, next to our nation's first National Park, and surrounded by America’s two largest wilderness areas in the lower 48 states! This part of the Rocky Mountain West is full of the history of Jim Bridger, John Coulter and the like. The best part is that we try to give you 2 days off in a row so you can take advantage of this great country. We also have an employee TV and rec room, limited wireless internet access but no cellular phone service.
Getting Here and Getting Around
If you don't have your own transportation, let us know and we will pick you up in Cody. Cody (COD) has a small airport accessible from Salt Lake City, UT (SLC) via Delta's Skywest or from Denver (DEN) via United Express. LP Transportation runs a shuttle twice a day from Lovell to Cody for those traveling by bus. If you are driving, take highway 14-16-20 west from Cody for an incredibly scenic one hour trip through the spectacular Wapiti Valley.
Blue ribbon trout fishing and miles of hiking trails are right at your doorstep. Take a trail ride, river float or just kick back and enjoy the scenery. For photography enthusiasts, the opportunities are endless. Mountains, wildlife and Yellowstone National Park are right out the window. In Cody there are the 5 museums of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, the Cody Nite Rodeo, river floats, Old Trail Town and a full slate summer events scheduled for 2014.
