Summer jobs at the north rim
of the grand canyon

Temple ViewThe North Rim is unlike any other place you have visited. A dense Ponderosa Pine, Douglas Fir, Spruce, and Aspen forest mantles the Kaibab plateau. This is an enormous geologic feature roughly 30 by 50 miles, averaging 7,500 – 9,200 feet and bounded on all sides by incredible desert vistas, the Painted Desert, mountain vistas, and the Grand Canyon. Driving over the plateau, you pass through beautiful meadows and pristine mountain scenery and arrive at the historic North Rim Lodge. The Lodge is nestled at 8,100 feet on the canyon edge on the North side of the canyon. The view is superb with the canyon at your feet and vistas to the San Francisco peaks 70 miles to the south. Whether you are sitting on the Lodge verandas or are visiting one of the many canyon viewpoints, the Grand Canyon is breathtaking.

about us

North RimGrand Canyon North Rim is a privately owned company that operates visitor services under a concession agreement with the National park Service. We are located on the rim of the Grand Canyon. Our operation includes 218 guest units, a dining room, a gift shop, a delicatessen, a general store, a public laundry/shower facility, a gas station, and an outdoor cooking venue.

Working at an 8,000 foot elevation can be a challenge, especially for those with medical conditions or debilitating physical conditions which may be affected by the high altitude.

We at the North Rim are proud to live and work at such a beautiful location. We feel that our employees are our team and our family and that everyone is important to the success of our season. We will do everything we can to ensure that our employees are treated fairly, are paid a fair wage, and are provided with the best living and working environment possible. We ask only that you in return give a fair day’s work. If you are mentally and physically prepared to work hard in order to enjoy the scenery, the fellowship of new friends and the many other benefits of a summer job in this beautiful national park, we look forward to receiving your application.

Our season runs from
mid-May through mid-October.
