Internships

Purpose:

Giving students the opportunity to experience Resort & Marina Operations at beautiful Lake Powell through a three month summer internship!

Length of Program:

Will be determined by the requirements of the college or university, but will be NO LESS THAN 3 MONTHS. Dates of available programs typically run from mid-May to mid-August.

Participation Requirements:

The participants must be enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university with a hospitality, culinary, or related major.

Procedure:

Students have the option of enrolling in one of the following departments:

Accounting | Boat Rentals | Food and Beverage / Sales and Catering | Environment and Interpretation | Hospitality and Lodging Human Resources |Marketing and Tours| Retail

During the internship, students will be given the opportunity to complete on the job training in their selected department as well as specific tasks assigned by their mentors and Human Resources. Additionally there will be an opportunity for each intern to experience the other departments at Lake Powell.
