Encounter God in a truly awe-inspiring natural setting! Become part of a rich tradition that goes back more than 50 years. A Christian Ministry in the National Parks (ACMNP) is an interdenominational ministry that extends the Christian message to those who live, work, and vacation in America’s national parks.

Announcement of New Executive Director
After conducting a nation-wide search, it is with great pleasure that A Christian Ministry in the National Parks (ACMNP) announces the appointment of Rev. Spencer L. Lundgaard as Executive Director. As a participant in ACMNP while in college, an advocate for this ministry as an ACMNP Trustee and Board Member, and as a pastor whose heart is spiritually alive, Spencer is ideally suited to be ACMNP’s third director in its six decades of ministry in the national parks. Please join with us in celebrating the transition of leadership from the Rev. Richard Camp Jr. to Rev. Spencer L. Lundgaard. Spencer will take over full responsibility September 1st, 2008 after a summer of travel and leadership overlap with Dick Camp.

ACMNP Ministry Teams lead interdenominational worship services in the natural sanctuaries of God’s creation. We bring Christian teaching and community to people often isolated from immediate contact with local churches, including millions of visitors who come to enjoy God's great natural wonders.

When you join our Ministry Staff, you come to understand the important blend of work, wilderness, and worship that remains the hallmark of the ACMNP experience. The ministry of ACMNP is both formal and informal, involving leadership participation in Sunday worship services held in the park's amphitheaters and lodges, and calling for you to be a Christian witness in your daily life.

Each Ministry Staff Member will be employed by a concessionaire in the park and will work as a desk clerk, housekeeper, bellhop, store clerk, wait staff, or other job typical of seasonal employment, and will live with co-workers in employee housing in the park. Apply today!
