Seasonal Professional - DINING ROOM MANAGER at GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

Glacier Park, Inc. is now seeking Dining Room Managers in Glacier Natinoal Park.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer service background and experience with scheduling, ordering, inventory and effective communication & management skills.

Compensation for Assistant Managers is $12.00 per hour plus Meals & Lodging at no cost.

Compensation for Managers include competitive salary, plus bonus and Meals & Lodging at no cost.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing a staff of 15-35 dining room employees.
  2. Conduct daily pre-shift meetings.
  3. Is able to assist or take the place of any staff member if necessary.
  4. Enforces all company policies and regulations.
  5. Ensures good safety practices of employees.
  6. Ensures Dining Room controls are met by maintaining effective cost and portion control.
  7. Ensures standards of appearance and sanitation are maintained on a daily basis.
  8. Handles guest concerns in a professional manner.
  9. Ensures that all daily reports are sent to Corporate Food and Beverage office ( Labor, Sanitation, Void & Credits, etc.)
  10. Attends weekly department manager meetings.
  11. Maintains line of communication between Dining Room, Kitchen, and other departments.
  12. Ensures flow of Dining Room service.
  13. Willing to train employees with no F&B experince and provide on-going training for employees during the season.
  14. Takes fast and appropriate action to solve problems.
  15. Responsible for designing and/or implementing sales goals and incentive programs.
  16. Responsible for the receipt and storage of all Dining Room equipment including china, glass, silver and paper to ensure a minimum loss from waste or theft.
  17. Responsible for ordering receipt and storage of all alcohol inventories and bar equipment.
  18. Responsible for following federal, state and National Park Service policies and regulations for serving alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner.
  19. Reviews food and beverage sales daily.
  20. Adjusts scheduling according to labor & sales figures.
  21. Will assist in banquets as necessary.
