Summer Lodge Jobs near Yellowstone Park!
The Elephant Head Lodge is looking for motivated employees to spend time in the mountains outside of Yellowstone National Park .

Our lodge is located between two wilderness areas in the Shoshone National Forest, sits 11.7 miles from the Park’s east entrance and 40 miles west of historic Cody, WY. Positions start as early as April and run as late as November, our season runs from early May to early October, weather permitting. We are a small, well-established lodge known for its fine dining, breathtaking views and wildlife, and relaxed atmosphere. We are at about 6300 feet above sea level. We have 15 small cabins that house 2-8 guests per cabin, restaurant, lounge, horse concession, and fishing within walking distance. Our lodge is a wonderful base for the guests touring Yellowstone National Park, Cody, & the Shoshone National Forest.
Our Jobs
- Lodging/Housekeeping – caring for/cleaning/organizing/and maintaining inside and outside of 15 cabins, restaurant, lodge/office, storage areas, as well as guest and business laundry and maintain equipment. Appearance of our facilities is number one!
- Food/Beverage – front and back house duties of our kitchen/restaurant for breakfast and dinner for our guests and sack lunches, as well as staff meals three times a day. Head cooks, assistant cooks, grill cook, prep work, dishwashers, wait staff. All includes planning, preparing, cleaning, organizing, inventory/ordering, and maintain equipment. Bartending duties available for those 21 years of age or older. Guests satisfaction is #1!
- Front Desk/Office – making and processing reservations, dealing with guests on phone and in person, people person, friendly, helping guests have a pleasant experience, filing, organizing, cleaning, must be able to work by self, and serve as a travel guide and information resource. Able to think on your feet is a benefit. Financing skills a must. Guest satisfaction is #1!
- Maintenance/Landscaping – maintenance/repair/upkeep inside and outside of all cabins, restaurant, lodge, housing. Landscaping as needed to make our grounds attractive. Facility appearance and functioning is #1!
- Wrangler – must be responsible, mature individuals with in-depth horse skills and knowledge. Must be willing to learn, follow instructions, and think on your feet. Includes daily maintenance, care, and upkeep of horses, equipment, and facilities. Safety for Guest, horse, and wrangler is #1!

Room and Board
Room and board are provided to each employee at no cost. Our housing is on the upper end of the property and a couple minute walk to our main lodge. Generally, living quarters are available for shared two-four person occupancy. Bathrooms are shared. The lodge at no extra cost provides linens and towels.

Employee salaries are based on the job requirements and determined prior to being hired. A big bonus – room and board are free. We expect you will find your time spent here filled with many new friendships and frequent opportunities for wilderness outdoor experiences and fresh air, including horseback riding, fishing, hiking, relaxing, viewing wildlife & scenery, Cody Nite rodeo, western shopping and entertainment, Shoshone National Forest, Yellowstone National Park, and Cody, WY. Paychecks are distributed each month. Bonus possible if you finish out the season.

Getting Here and Getting Around
Our lodge is located 11.7 miles from Yellowstone National Park’s east entrance and 40 miles west of Cody, WY. The nearest airports are the Cody Airport 40 miles from the lodge, or the Billings, MT airport at 150 miles. We suggest bringing your own vehicle if you would like to see the sights off the lodge.
For Fun
This is a great area to experience the west and great outdoors. On your time off you can ride horses, fish, hike, camp, view wildlife and beautiful scenery, photograph, relax, or visit the nearby National Parks. The opportunities are endless!

We are located in the Shoshone National Forest (the oldest National Forest) just 11.7 miles from Yellowstone National Park’s East Entrance. Our highway from Cody is often called the most scenic 50 miles in America, as stated by President Theodore Roosevelt. We are 40 miles west of Cody, WY which has the fabulous Buffalo Bill Cody Historical Center, water rafting, nightly rodeos, unique western shopping opportunities, as well as a Walmart.
