General Staff Positions Available:
Front Desk Clerks, Housekeepers, Drivers/Bellmen (must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record), Maintenance Helpers, Bartenders & Servers (must be experienced and at least 21 years old), Dishwashers, Prep/Line Cooks.

Compensation: Hourly wages vary with each position. Minimum wage in Alaska is $7.15/hour. Please ask about the rate of pay for the position you are interested in. Most of our positions are bonused; that is, if you complete your work contract, you will receive a completion bonus based on $ .50 to $1.00/hour worked on regular-time hours. Returning employees will receive increased bonuses. Bonuses are forfeited if you quit or are fired before the end of your contract. Non-bonused employees (ie. waitstaff) must post a contract completion bond of $100.00 which will be forfeited in full if he or she is fired or quits before the contract is completed.

Season: The 2008 season for Denali Crow's Nest: we open on Friday, May 23rd and close on Tuesday, September 2nd. We would like most of our employees to start work on Monday, May 19th so that they can be properly trained and to work through Friday, September 5th so that they can help us close up. We may, however, be able to offer shorter term contracts depending on your and our needs. Those applicants who can work the entire season will, obviously, be hired preferentially.

Schedule: Most positions are 8 hours/day, 5 days/week with 2 consecutive days off. At the beginning and the end of the season, however, if we are short-staffed, we may ask you to work overtime or to give up your days off. If you are applying with a friend, do not plan on having the same work schedule or the same days off. Payday is every other Friday.

Supervisory and Managerial Staff Positions Available:
NOTE: All managerial and supervisory positions listed below call for highly motivated persons with excellent managerial skills & qualifications. These positions call for extremely responsible individuals, able to demonstrate a level of commitment & responsibility sufficient to provide general managers with a high level of confidence. Supervisors:

Maintenance Supervisor: Employment dates: Monday, May 5th - Friday, September 5th, 2008.
Need a person capable of supervising assistants. Should be capable of identifying and rectifying problems involving plumbing, minor electrical, minor carpentry. Boiler experience desirable. Willingness to work odd hours and to be on call when necessary. This is a working supervisory position.
Housekeeping Supervisor: Employment dates: Monday, May 12th - Friday, September 5th, 2008.
Need a mature self-starter who can schedule, supervise, and motivate a crew of five - six housekeepers. This is a working supervisory position. Must have the highest standards of cleanliness. Responsible for employee scheduling, supply ordering, and final room inspections. Willingness to work odd hours and to be on call when necessary. May work 6 days/week.

Managers:

Cabin: Employment dates: Monday, May 12th - Friday, September 5th, 2008.
Need a person with strong organizational skills & leadership capability who can motivate and direct a staff of front desk, housekeeping, and bellman/drivers to run day-to-day operations for a 40-room hotel. Previous managerial experience desirable. Need excellent customer relation skills, bookkeeping skills, and money-handling skills. Manager is expected to fill any positions, which may be come vacant from time-to-time. Willingness to work odd hours and to be on call. A small self-contained trailer is available for this manager’s housing. 6 days/week and on call after hours.
