Cedar Pass Lodge is a privately owned company, operated by Forever Resorts. Forever Resorts manages over 70 resorts and recreational properties in the United States, Europe and Africa. We provide visitor services under a concession agreement with the National Park Service to the visitors of Badlands National Park.
Located on South Dakota Highway 240 south of Interstate 90 our seasonal operation includes 26 guest units, a restaurant, gift store, and RV / Campground. We also operate Badlands Inn, which is 3 miles west of our main location in the town of Interior. In addition, we operate Circle 10 which is approximately nine miles from Cedar Pass Lodge and directly across from the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site.

Cedar Pass Lodge offers seasonal employment opportunities from mid-April to mid-October in beautiful Badlands National Park.
Positions average 25 - 40 hours per week. Some positions are available for a shorter seasonal commitment. Available positions include:
Our summer season runs from mid-April until mid-October and our ideal candidate is available for the full span of our operating season. Applicants with the longest dates of availability will be given first consideration.
We seek applicants with a willingness to do their job to the best of their ability while providing the very best guest service in Badlands National Park.
Applicants with experience in retail, food services, and the hotel industry are welcomed. Folks with a genuine, enthusiastic desire to work with the public are also given top consideration in our hiring process.
Room and Board
We offer housing and employee dining room for the majority of our staff. Room and board is available for a cost of $63 per week, per staff member. Use of pool at Circle 10 and an employee recreation area are also provided. Free Wi-Fi is available in designated areas for staff use.
We also have RV and trailer sites with full hookups available for those who like to bring their home along with them on their adventures.
In addition to onsite meals and housing at an affordable cost we also offer staff VIP passes to most area attractions, Wi-Fi, pool, and a 40% off discount every day at our gift shop and restaurant.
Getting Here and Getting Around
Staff housing is within walking distance to the Lodge. All other transportation (including transportation to and from our location at the beginning and end of the season) will need to be provided by you. Rapid City is the nearest airport (72 miles west).
Our remote location is well suited for those able to bring a vehicle to explore the wonders of our area on days off.
You will experience the opportunity to live, work, and play in one of the most beautiful places on earth surrounded by nature and peacefulness with miles of trails to hike, geologic splendor and unrivaled scenic vistas to view.
There are many other sights nearby that are also must to see. Mt. Rushmore, Wind Cave, Custer State Park, The Famous Wall Drug, and Crazy Horse are among some the sights and activities that are a must to visit. Rapid City is an hour and a half away, for those who like the occasional glimpse of city lights.
Other recreational opportunities vary but include exercise and game rooms, group sports, picnics, and shopping trips. There is no public transportation, but we do have scheduled company van trips throughout the season.
How to Apply
Before deciding to apply please read and understand the following rules and regulations for dormitory residents:
- Possession of firearms of any kind is prohibited.
- Cedar Pass Lodge is a DRUG FREE WORKPLACE. Possession of illegal drugs is prohibited. All employees are subject to pre-employment drug testing and once employed are subject to both random and for cause drug testing.
- Underage drinking is prohibited and will not be tolerated.
- Dormitory quiet hours are 10 PM until 7 AM. All other hours are “subdued noise”, to respect those employees whose working hours require sleeping during daylight hours.
- Non-employees are not allowed in housing areas unless registered with the management and are accompanied by the employee that they are visiting. Overnight guests are not permitted in the housing area unless they have the approval of the general manager and human resources.
- Smoking will only be allowed in designated smoking areas.
