TETON VALLEY RANCH CAMP
TETON VALLEY RANCH CAMP is a resident summer camp at Teton Valley Ranch, adjacent to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Founded by Wendell and Mary Ellen Wilson, it has been in continual operation as one of the countrys leading western camps since l939. Teton Valley Ranch is located on the eastern edge of famous Jackson Hole, with a spectacular view across the valley of the towering Teton mountain range.
Boys attend camp for the first half of the summer and girls the second half. Both 30 day seasons have nearly identical programs and activities, with a capacity of l25 campers per season.We are looking for responsible individuals with an interest in working with children and adults. Common sense and judgment as well as a keen sense for safety are important personal qualities, as well as an ability to listen to youngsters and get along well with people. Camp often demands a great deal of time, attention, and energy yet a summer with the children at TVRC is the opportunity of a lifetime.
COUNSELOR DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONSCounselors must be highly motivated individuals who enjoy working with young people. Counselors lead, instruct, and supervise activities and cabin groups. He or she must set high standards, remain cheerful and friendly, and concerned for each camper’s safety, health and welfare. The cabin counselor must be attentive to campers interests and needs as well as their achievements and adjustments to camp life. Counselors must value listening skills, compassion for children, and team oriented activities. Both counselors and campers share nearly all aspects of the camp experience, joining in activities, discussions and programs. Counselors are expected to participate and become knowledgeable in all aspects of the camp community.
SUPPORT & PROGRAM STAFF DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Support Staff must be highly motivated individuals who are able to work under minimal supervision. The support staff might not interact directly with the campers, however it is inevitable that all staff members will be immersed in the camp community. Program Staff members work closely with the campers as instructors in the various activities around camp. A great deal of experience is needed to instruct within the given program areas of camp.

Some things you should know before applying
PHYSICAL EXAMINATION: The American Camping Association requires all employees to complete a physical examination. A medical form will be sent to all hired staff and must be returned before camp arrival.
PHOTOGRAPHS:Required for hired staff employment files.
CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS:First time employees must have proof of identification, such as a birth certificate, passport and social security card. We will keep a copy on file.
BASIC FIRST AID AND CPRare required for all counseling, program and trip staff (Wilderness First Aid). Proof of completion in the form of your original card will be required upon arrival at camp.
LIVING ACCOMMODATIONSfor support staff are rustic bunkhouse cabins and apartments. Counseling staff lives in log cabins with the campers. Married couples may be hired if both persons have applicable skills and we have sufficient housing available. We do not have housing for staff families with children or pets.
