Camp Wekeela
Camp Wekeela - "Where Friends Become Family."
Camp Wekeela is located in Hartford, Maine, nestled on Little Bear Pond which is a gorgeous natural lake connecting to Big Bear Pond. Its calm sheltered waters present the ideal setting for swimming, boating and exploring. Our campers enjoy taking advantage of all the water sports Little Bear and Big Bear Ponds have to offer.

Our campers and staff come from all over the USA and the world. Our staff plays a fundamental role in the Wekeela community and are essential to achieving our goals. We are privileged to have dedicated men and women return year after year. They return because they love Wekeela and they love Maine. They return because they understand our camp philosophy. It's about being a role model to children. It is about being a teacher; it is about having tremendous FUN. Our staff affects, shapes, and defines our campers' summer like no other individual. Our staff understands that Wekeela is not just camp, it's a way of life.

For Fun
Maine is known as “Vacationland.” On your days and time off you will be able to discover the great state of Maine. It is nice to look at the ocean, the rugged coast, the woods, and all that is around us. It is nice to pause and smell the pine trees or wake up early and watch the clouds roll off Little Bear Pond. Camp counselors get to have fun all day, every day!
