Camp Androscoggin
Help Make Unforgettable Summers!
Located in central Maine, Androscoggin is the summer home for 275 boys between 8 and 15 and 75 staff. Since 1907, campers and counselors have been sharing a summer to remember on our 125 acre lakeside campus. The campers are with us for one 7 and 1/2 week session and participate in a wide range of team sports and individual activities on land and water. Each counselor is a specialist in one of the activities we offer.
We strive each summer to create an environment in which campers, as well as staff, can learn, grow and have a great time in the process. We feel the residential camp setting provides a unique opportunity for staff to have a positive and long lasting impact on our campers. It's challenging, fun, and, we believe, a very rewarding way to spend the summer. We hope you agree and would look forward to hearing from you.

Room and Board
In addition to the role of activity specialist, all male staff are also cabin counselors, living in a bunk with 6 to 8 campers of the same age. Female staff live in their own cabin and are assigned a camper bunk to help supervise.
Meals are served family style in the dining hall. Each week, boys sit at a different table with campers from other age groups, giving campers and counselors alike a chance to meet every one in camp. Snacks are also provided throughout the day.
Perks
The salary, ranging from $1500 to $2500, will include a travel allowance, room & board and laundry. In addition, high speed internet access is provided either by wireless router for staff laptops or on camp computers in the staff lounge.
Great opportunity to work with kids in a relaxed, supportive environment. A chance to have fun and have an impact.
Getting Here and Getting Around
Staff members are welcome to bring their own cars. The nearest bus station is Augusta; the nearest major airport is Portland. We will pick up staff members at either location. Many staff fly in to Boston's Logan airport. From Logan, there are a couple of easy options to get to either Portland or Augusta where a camp representative will be available for a pick up.
For Fun
Enjoy the beauty of Northern New England on your days off. Whether it's a day at the ocean, a hike on the Appalachian Trail or a visit to the Old Port in Portland, you'll find lots of options within an hour or two drive. Back on campus, we encourage staff to use our facilities and equipment during their off duty time. A great opportunity to return to a favorite activity you haven't had a chance to do in a while or try something for the first time.
