Bristol Bay Lodge, located in the heart of the Wood-Tikchik State Park, is one of the finest & oldest established fishing lodges in Alaska. Nestled around Bristol Bay Lodge are cozy cedar cabins, set among tall fir trees. All overlook majestic Lake Aleknagik and through the huge panoramic window we witness the daily breathtaking scene as the sun rises and sets over the mountains.

We are a seasonal business, open for a brief 4-month season. During that time we are a 24 hour a day/seven days a week operation.
We employee 30 individuals throughout the summer filling a variety of positions. Our season runs from approximately May 25 thru Sept. 25. It is important that our staff is available to work the entire season.

Our location is so remote the only way to reach us is by plane or boat. Our fishing waters are truly the best! We offer a family setting, a lot of our guests & staff return year after year.

Room and Board
We offer shared cabins or shared housing for our employees up to 2 to 4 employees per unit. Each unit has beds, dressers & shelving. We offer a community shower house for our male employees & private bathrooms in the lodge for the female employees. As far as our laundry facility operates each employee is assigned a day. They drop the linens off in the early am at breakfast and pick them up fully cleaned in the evening. Breakfast is made to order every morning for employees. Staff goes through our lunch bar every morning and makes there own lunch. Dinner is served homestyle in the employee break room nightly.
Perks
All employees are paid a monthly wage, room & board included. Monthly wage depends on experience & job applying for. We have a tip pool that is divided between all of us equally.
Getting Here and Getting Around
You must fly into Dillingham, Alaska via a stop in Anchorage.
En Route to the lodge – Alaska Airlines flight #261 (operated by PenAir) Departs Anchorage at 8:15 am and arrives Dillingham at 9:45 am
Departing the lodge – Alaska Airlines flight #262 (operated by PenAir) Departs Dillingham at 7:00 pm and arrives Anchorage at 8:30 pm.
Flights will book up fast. We suggest that you contact PenAir at 1-800-448-4226 and ask about their special sportfishing fare which has no restrictions. Be sure to mention that you are an employee with Bristol Bay Lodge because the lodge holds group space with PenAir.
Upon arrival in the port city of Dillingham, you will be greeted by Bristol Bay Lodge staff. At the airport it is required that you claim your luggage which will be loaded and accounted for prior to departing for the lodge. Bristol Bay Lodge is roughly 35 miles inland. Employees are transported down the lake road (40 minutes - roughly 20 miles), then board large covered boats for the stunning ride up Lake Aleknagik to the lodge. Upon arrival you will be escorted to the main lodge where you will be offered lunch. Afterward there will be an orientation, following which you will be shown to your room or cabin.
First year employees-- you are responsible for flight to Dillingham. Second year employees-- you will receive $250 towards your flight. Third year employees-- will receive $500 towards your flight
For Fun
We want our staff to thoroughly enjoy their time spent at the lodge. Some other activities include fishing for all types of fish such as, Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Dolly Vardens, Northern Pike, and all five species of Pacific Salmon. Wildlife viewing, swimming in the lake or relaxing in the hot tub. Having a hobby will also provide employees with more enjoyable stay. For example photography, painting, drawing, reading, writing are all fanastic ways for employees to relax and take pleasure in their time off.
