RESORTS OPENING: Opening today:Wolf Creek in Colorado and Sierra-At-Tahoe in California. Watch for Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Dodge Ridge, Sugar Bowl, and Donner Ski Ranch to open on Saturday, Oct 30th. Visit their cams and find out what's new along with lift ticket prices and events.

Kirkwood, CA Oct 21, 2004 - Kirkwood opens weekend operations on October 23 thanks to 3-4 feet of early season snow - with more forecasted by the weekend. The season's first turns on the lower mountain will be through a foot of fresh powder on top of two feet of packed base.

New Idaho Ski Resort Opens This December

The Northern Rockies region gets its second new destination resort in as many years as Tamarack Resort, located 90 miles north of Boise, Idaho, plans to open its doors for its inaugural season of skiing and snowboarding December 15.

World's fastest and tallest rollercoaster coming this spring

Six Flags Adventure in New Jersey is opening the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster this spring called Kingda Ka. It will accelerate to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds and rises 456 feet off the ground. That oughta be a rush!
