IRS Mileage Rate Increased for Rest of 2005

In response to rising gas prices the IRS has increased the mileage rate from 40.5 to 48.5 cents per business mile driven between September 1 and December 31, 2005. You can always go straight to the source at www.irs.gov.

I-9 Standards Relaxed for Hurricane Victims

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Tuesday that, for the time being, it will not sanction employers who hire people lacking full documentation of their citizenship as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
