Whitewater Rafting Guides Needed for the 2013 Season!

Looking for Team Members with positive attitudes for the 2013 Season.

Big Bear Expeditions offers the best Whitewater Raft Guide Training program in the Smoky Mountains. We have over 25 years experience training class V ready raft guides, as well as over 50 years combined experience in the Smoky Mountains Hospitality & Tourism Industry.

Our 7 day course includes A.C.A. (American Canoe Assoc.) swift water rescue training from our certified training staff along with the opportunity to test your skills on a more difficult river before your training is complete. There is a $225 charge for all your river gear which you get to keep. There is no charge for the course.

Our Training program starts Sunday May 12th, 2013.
Classes will fill up quickly, don't hesitate!

Room and Board

Bunk house lodging is available for $25 a month(no charge will occur until you start receiving checks)

Staff dinners will be provided every Thursday night from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Perks

Over the course of the summer our team will have the chance to take trips to other rivers in the area on our days off in pursuit of too much fun, giving us the opportunity to build friendships across the world by way of the Earth's arteries, known as our rivers.

Currently we have trips scheduled to the following:

New & Gauley Rivers, West Virginia
Nolichucky River, Tennessee
French Broad River Sec. 9 , North Carolina
Ocoee River, Tennessee

Getting Here and Getting Around

Most of our employees will arrive in their own vehicles. However, if you are planning on flying in from abroad or another state, McGee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, TN or Asheville Regional Airport in Asheville, NC will be the closest airports.

If you plan on arriving by bus, we recommend Megabus or Greyhound in Knoxville, TN.

We will pick you up from the airport or bus station at no charge.
