Berkshire Hills Emanuel Camps

Berkshire Hills - Come Get Our Campers Excited About You!

Friends For Summer.

Friends For Life.

Berkshire Hills is a coed, Jewish sleep away camp for children ages 7-16. Since 1931, children, families and retreat groups have enjoyed the beauty and spirit of our camp, set on a private lake and more than 600 pristine acres.  While our program is designed to reflect Jewish values, we welcome all children to camp and believe that the values we teach – respect, giving back, community, and charity – benefit everyone. Like all learning at camp, these values are not taught in a classroom - but on the ball field, in a dance class, and around campfires.  In this way, campers not only learn about these values – they live them.

Each day is designed to give campers time to grow both individually, and as a member of our camp community and family. Berkshire Hills morning electives give campers the opportunity to build a skill over time by participating in the same activity every other day for two weeks. Afternoon activities at Berkshire Hills focus on building the cabin group. Each cabin will spend the afternoon enjoying a diverse selection of activities, each intentionally selected and designed to build friendships, bring the group closer together, and help campers take healthy risks.

Set in the beautiful Berkshires, our camp provides an idyllic setting for each camper’s summer of growth and fun. At Berkshire Hills, campers will find a strong community of friends, be supported by loyal and deeply committed staff, try fun and challenging activities, and become more independent.

Our Jobs

Our qualified instructors will help campers learn a new skill or build on a skill in an activity they already enjoy. Whether campers chooses drama, basketball, ropes course, boating, arts and crafts, floor hockey or any one of our other dozens of activities, our staff will teach campers the activity and promote the idea that practice leads to improvement in anything they do.

Our Ideal Candidate

The staff that works with our Berkshire Hills campers must possess an energetic enthusiasm for working with campers, always putting them 1st and ensuring that that have an amazing and safe summer .

Room and Board

Most of our staff members will be living in a cabin with campers during the summer.
