Seasonal Professional - Assistant Retail Manager

Arkansas Valley Adventure is seeking a professional applicant with previous management experience in a retail/guest services setting.   AVA is a regional multi-sport outdoor recreation outfitter located in the heart of the Central Rockies of Colorado that offers half-day to multi-day river trips, ziplining, rock climbing, and rappeling.  The requirements of this position include scheduling and effectively managing a team of employees while operating a point-of-sale system, photo sales, inventory and stock management.  Outside of the retail component there is also managing the guest service experience  through promptly and properly addressing guest check-in, logistical questions, and guest complaints.  Compensation runs from  $10-$13/ hour depending on experience.  A seasonal commitment is required from May 1st-September 8th with a 7% bonus on gross earnings given for fullfilling the commitment.  There is also potential for further bonuses based on meeting or exceeding seasonal sales goals.  Please see the full on-line job description after accessing "Apply Now" link at the bottom of this page.  On-site housing is available for the duration of the season with endless personal outdoor recreation opportunities right out your front door!  There is also potential for part-time zipline guiding for the proper applicant seeking all that the Outdoor Recreation Industry has to offer.  If you have always wanted to move to the mountains, then come join a fast-paced team in a community oreinted environment!
