Alyeska Resort stands out during ski season with close to 650” of average snowfall annually and the longest-continuous double black diamond ski run in North America. Alyeska Resort is truly a playground for all levels of skiers and riders. Offering 1,400 skiable acres, 73 named trails, Alyeska lives up to its reputation as steep and deep.

In the summer, Alyeska Resort is the gateway to the Chugach Mountains, offering a peek into the vastness and wild nature of the amazing range. Home to numerous wildlife and flora species, Alyeska intertwines luxury accommodations with convenient access to nature seamlessly. From the Hotel courtyard, easily catch a nature trail or bike path. Venture up to 2,300 ft to the top of Mt. Alyeska on foot, or via scenic Aerial Tram.

No matter what your job may be, working in the ski and recreation industry requires flexibility and commitment to providing excellent customer service. Alyeska Resort looks for employees who can provide an outstanding experience to our guests.

Room and Board

Alyeska Resort provides employees with affordable, clean and well-maintained housing close to work. The “Powder House” can house up to 96 people. The units are fully furnished to include a kitchen complete with stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. The accommodations are arranged as two bedroom apartments and 4 bedroom apartments. Employee housing offers single, shared and couple (shared bed) accommodations on a first come first serve basis. Our employee housing fills up quickly at the beginning of the season, but there are hostels and other rentals in the Girdwood Valley. Please note: an offer for employment must be made before a housing application will be accepted. Please email us with any questions about employee housing.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Glacier Valley Transit (GVT) is a recently created public transportation system created to service the community of Girdwood, Alaska. Their website has route maps and schedules. Fares are $1 or month passes for $25.

If you'd like to experience more of Alaska while you're here, you may want to bring your car so you can be more mobile on your time off.

You will also have plenty of time to play in our great outdoors. Enjoy a variety of activities such as: alpine skiing and snowboarding, backcountry skiing/riding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, flight seeing, wildlife viewing, boating, fishing, music and special events to enjoy with friends.
