Typical Day?
No day is typical working at the Montana Conservation Corps, each day is a new experience. Working for MCC, you never know where you will wake up or what you will be doing. Throughout the MCC season, you may find yourself ...
doing yoga and discussing safety with your crew on top of a 10,000 foot mountain in the Spanish Peaks;
building a turnpike in Yellowstone and listening to elk bugle in search of mates;
face to face with a moose hiking down the trail you just fixed;
having a snowball fight on your hike home from work;
listening to your crewmates play harmonicas as you warm your hands by the fire;
waking up to the pitter patter of rain on your tent fly;
doing dishes and watching the sun set behind the Grand Tetons;
flolicking down a switchback that you and your crew just constructed;
hiking 26 miles to the most remote place in Yellowstone;
building a rock cairn on the summit of the Spinx;
or piling 6 people into a 2 man tent to finish your crew's card tournament.
MCC is not just a job, it's an experience.
