This application is for consideration for the 2004 summer season.

Please complete the following additional application to be considered for a Day Camp Program position. You will not be considered for this type of position without this completed application. Please return it with your completed Estes Park Center/YMCA of the Rockies application.

General Information about the Day Camp: Our program consists of 6 different programs, one for 3-4 year olds, one for K through 3rd graders, one for 4th through 8th graders, one for local K-3rd graders, one for 5th through 12th graders, and a program for high schoolers. The first three are general recreational camps that cover a broad range of programs consisting of hiking, games, songs, crafts, and nature activities; the program for 5th to 10th graders consists largely of outdoor living skills, group initiatives, and personal challenge; the Teen Adventurer Program is a mixture of high challenge activities and social activities. Counselors are hired and placed based on experience at other camps, with our program, and with specific age groups. Counselors are required to have a high level of commitment to helping kids grow in self-esteem, confidence and skills by focusing on our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. We provide for counselors an opportunity to experience a dynamic team atmosphere, to grow in his/her own programming and teaching skills, and to develop interpersonal skills.
