Job Duties:

• Independently working a fully stocked bar for banquet events and weekly BBQ events as a part of the banquet staff.
• Stocking the bar in the different locations for events; sometimes in outdoor locations  requiring heavy lifting (over 50 lbs)
• Knowledge of mixology and liquor, wine, and beer 
• Excellent customer service skills are a must
• Previous bartending experience preferred, also working knowledge of control methods
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication skills with the event coordinator and/or dining room manager is a must. Must be a team player. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Set up & breakdown of dining room or banquet facilities including dishware, glassware, silverware, linens, tables and other amenities according to Dining Room Manager or Event Coordinator’s direction
• Maintains clean tables & service area
• Know the menu for dining room or the banquet function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation methods
• Performs side work
• Uses a cash register of point of sale system as needed

Preferred Skills:

• Two years of experience as a server in fine dining and/or banquet facility.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, in English.
• Excellent hospitality skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds at a time.
• Ability to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling and squatting.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a noisy environment as well as with people in a team environment.
• Ability to function in a fast paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines.

This person mans our small retail fly shop and also instructs our fly fishing casting lessons on our private stocked pond. This position is hourly. Great position for fly-fishing enthusiast who is not a licensed guide. (We don’t require that as we are not an outfitter and do not take any guided trips on the rivers- only instruction on our private stocked pond!). Great seasonal position - ideally can work through season of June - early October.

This position is the face of our dining room for our guests in the morning. 

• Works our daily complimentary breakfast buffet refilling the buffet line, clearing plates, and serving guests
• Cleans up the dining room and resets for daily lunch buffet for employees
• Tends to lunch buffet by refilling the buffet line, clearing plates
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be a team player, self motivated, and have a positive attitude. Being a morning person is a plus! 

We are a busy restaurant and have an open role for Restaurant Manager. You will be responsible for guests and employees as well.  The restaurant hosts breakfast for guests, lunch for employees in the summer, and dinner open to guests and the public.  Housing included with position.  Can be seasonal or year round.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ordering supplies, drinks, and food necessary for restaurant.
• Manage reservations through OpenTable and assist with other the phone reservations.
• Ensuring incoming staff complies with ranch policy.
• Training staff to follow restaurant procedures.
• Maintaining safety and food quality standards.
• Keeping customers happy and handling complaints.
• Organizing staff and creating schedules.
• Recording payroll data.
• Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations.
• Interacting with guests to provide them with an elevated experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to organize a team of staff members.

Working closely with our chef, daily skills could include proper rotation of product, ability to prep and ensuring quality of meals prepared, sharing line duties as well as working solo, and an all around knowledge of cooking, prepping & knife work. Must be strong on the grill and sauté. A flexible schedule is also a must as you have the potential to work morning and/or evening shifts.

The assistant pastry chef works under the direct supervision of a head or executive pastry chef. As an assistant pastry chef, you assist in the day-to-day operations of a bakery or pastry kitchen. You collaborate with the head pastry chef on daily tasks and schedules and oversee other kitchen staff in the absence of the head pastry chef. In addition to making pastries and breads, other duties include assessing inventory and supplies, maintaining safe and sanitary working conditions, helping develop recipes and menus, and/or suggesting alternative baking methods.

Our customer service agent is the first person that guests will meet when arriving at 320 Ranch. They are a key member of the hospitality team here. It is their responsibility to greet guests, assist with the check in process, register the guests, let them know about on-ranch activities and amenities. Customer Service Agents are also responsible for verifying credit cards, balancing accounts, and securing payment for any on-ranch activities or room charges. Customer Service Agents will need to have a working knowledge of how to operate a PC, and will use a reservation software daily to take new reservations, change existing reservations, and occasionally cancel reservations.  

Customer Service Agents are also a key part of the team by providing guests with knowledge about the area. We encourage our agents to get out and explore Big Sky and Yellowstone!

Laundry Attendants are critically important to ensuring a consistent, high-quality guest experience, primarily by providing the team and the ranch with a steady supply of clean, guest ready linens. Our primary goal is to provide our guests with exemplary, memorable service with maximum efficiency, consistent professionalism, and positive energy. You will be expected to demonstrate a high attention to detail, while meeting the high standards for individual and team performance set by the ranch and the Housekeeping Manager.

Laundry Attendants maintain the overall appearance of our ranch linens, but may also be expected to join the team in the field, cleaning ranch properties/rooms. This is a physically demanding role. You will be expected to be able to regularly perform the many physical tasks that are normal part of your role. Daily responsibilities include the cleaning of linens, cleaning common use areas of the ranch, re-stocking department vehicles and caddies, preparing clean linen bags for the following workday, and other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Leadership Team.

Applicants should be able to interact with guests, as well as other ranch employees in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner. The preferred applicant is self-motivated, self-disciplined, with an outgoing, positive, upbeat personality which helps them to be an excellent team player. Applicants must be able to lift weights up to and including 50 lbs. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods up to and including (5) five hours. Applicants must excel at time management, and be highly goal-oriented. Prior commercial housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required, as training will be provided.

Applicants should be able to interact with guests in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner. The preferred applicant is self-motivated, self-disciplined, with an outgoing, positive, upbeat personality which helps them to be an excellent team player. Applicants must be able to lift weights up to and including 50 lbs. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods up to and including (5) five hours. Prior commercial housekeeping experience is preferred, but not required, as training will be provided.

The 320 Ranch is a large campus including 320 acres and over 90 buildings that include guest cabins, common areas, meeting spaces, a restaurant and dining room, employee housing and more.  The maintenance and groundskeeping crew are an integral part of the team that help maintain guest satisfaction. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Mowing, edging, and trimming of lawns
• Keeps all public areas free of trash & debris
• May be asked to fell trees and block firewood
• Trim and Maintain bushes, mulch, and landscaping
• Occasionally may be asked to drive guest shuttle to various places around Big Sky
• Assist with luggage delivery and pick up 
• May be asked to help with banquet set up and tear down
• Moving picnic tables for events
• Help with set up and tear down of sprinkling systems
• Maintains flower boxes throughout the property
• Maintenance and cleaning of all lawn equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

• Pleasant demeanor with ability to smile.
• Ability to handle internal and external clients with high degree of tolerance, diplomacy, and tact.
• Ability to kneel, bend, carry, walk, stoop, climb, and lift items, in addition to possessing manual skills.
• Knowledge of lawn equipment maintenance - especially cleaning mowers, changing blades, oil changes, spark plugs, etc
• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Knowledge of chainsaw operation a plus; not required

• Occasionally may have to drive guest shuttle to places throughout Big Sky
• May be called to help with banquet set up and breakdown
• May help in moving picnic tables and wedding arch
• Other duties as assigned

Looking for a reliable ranch hand for assistance with the horse operations.  Duties are subject to what is going on on ranch, but can/will include:

• general ranch maintenance (separate for the maintenance of the lodging side of the guest ranch)
• mending fences as need
• trail maintenance
• flagging traffic for trail rides crossing the road 
• prefer experience working on cars
• prefer experience working around horses

We are looking for a lead wrangler with guest ranch wrangling experience as well as extensive horse background. The main duty is the care and upkeep of our herd of trail and draft horses and overseeing the animals and guests on the trails. The ranch takes out thousands of trail rides in the summer and ensuring that the horses and guests are safe is priority number one along with ensuring the guests have a great ranch experience.

Knowledge of driving draft horse teams required.

Cleaning out stalls, feeding horses, saddling horses, and going out on trail rides are part of the duties. CPR and first aid certification are required for this position.

The main duty is driving a draft horse team for our sleigh rides, but also cleaning out stalls, feeding horses, and saddling horses are part of the duties. Ensuring that the horses and guests are safe is priority along with ensuring the guests have a great ranch experience.

Knowledge of driving draft horse teams required.
