  • Guest Experience Coordinator

    As a Guest Experience Coordinator, you thrive on engaging with guests, creating extraordinary outdoor experiences, and being a brand ambassador for Under Canvas. This is a seasonal, hourly position that includes the option of team member housing for the duration of the season.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist other employees in the department
    • Ability to execute and balance multiple priorities, all while positively engaging with on-site guests and upcoming arrivals
    • Cultivate and share resources and leads with your supervisor for departmental growth
    • Ensure all events and adventures are well attended and received
    • Contribute and assist teammates on-site to maintain high standards of camp operations
    • Diligently communicate with supervisor on any pending priorities and immediate concerns
    • Demonstrate the stamina to work long hours in varying weather conditions
    • Effectively coordinate and execute tasks cross-departmentally including but not limited to, Guest Experience, Front Desk, Adventures, Food & Beverage & Groups
    • Welcome guests as they arrive, confirm their on-site activities, and set the tone for the duration of their stay
    • Share passion, knowledge, and recommendations for activities and attractions to experience in the local community
    • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve independently or in collaboration with your team and/or supervisor
    • Eagerly seek opportunities to ensure guests have everything they need
    • Conduct on-site activities consisting of but not limited to stargazing, nature walks, yoga, live music, special events (ie group events & holiday themed activities)
    • Strive for excellence in guest experience across all departmental priorities (adventures, on-site activities, retail & equipment rentals)
    • Demonstrate accountability & diligence with all associated priorities
    • Participate in weekly and daily meetings to ensure the GECs as well as the Front Desk team are well informed about activities offered on site as well as off site, upcoming events or groups, and any other special events or arrivals
    • Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards
    • Other duties as assigned

    Preferred Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Minimum two years of experience with guest interaction in resorts, hotels, or hospitality
    • Service-minded with passion for guest service experience
    • Genuine, outgoing, friendly, and dynamic
    • Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge of local attractions, landmarks, activities, history, and culture
    • Teamwork and adaptability

    Additional Information

    • Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time, including during extreme heat and cold or weather events
    • Able to stand and move for long periods of time
    • Ability to lift 30lbs independently; all lifts over 31 lbs. require assistance from a co-worker
    • This position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.

  • Night Auditor

    As a Night Auditor, you play a critical role in maintaining the camp operations overnight, including serving as the primary point of contact for guests during your shift, and assisting with accounting tasks. We cater to a diverse range of guests including groups, families, and individuals varying in age, interests, and with various degrees of comfort in outdoor elements. Your goal is to ensure our guests have everything they need to relax and enjoy being outside together with family, friends, and nature. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain composure, be resourceful, and solutions-minded in unpredictable situations such as weather, diverse needs of guests, or incidents on property 
    • Greet and check in guests at the reception desk, showcasing our amenities, and activities
    • Confidently take action, quickly step in to help others, and make sound decisions with minimal direction
    • Your love of the outdoors combined with your commitment to delivering high standards of customer service will be critical as you respond to the needs of guests and visitors
    • Your knowledge of the camp, positive attitude, listening skills, and ability to predict and respond to guests’ needs in a timely manner for the duration of their stay will lead to consistently positive guest feedback
    • Provide clear, accurate, complete, and timely communication
    • Eagerly seek opportunities to ensure guests have everything they need
    • Learn and share your knowledge of local culture, activities, and adventure activities
    • Reconcile accounting ledgers, make accounting adjustments, process credit cards, and prepare billing
    • Collaborate and interact professionally with guests and co-workers
    • Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards
    • Other duties as assigned

    Preferred Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Customer focus and friendly
    • Solutions-oriented and attention to detail
    • Ability to work overnight shifts
    • Communication skills
    • Minimum two years of experience in Customer Service, preferably in hospitality or hotels

  • Line Cook

    Food & Beverage

    As a Line Cook, you are an integral part of our food and beverage program. You will work with other Back of the House team members to deliver on culinary standards in our live fire kitchens. Working in various stations including grill, sauté, fry, prep, pantry, outdoor pop-up dining experiences, and providing support to the overall operation makes you the heart of the operation. You will keep our guests and team members safe by following food safety and sanitation protocols. Your goal is to work as a team to push out quality dishes to create memorable dining experiences. We cater to a diverse range of guests including groups, families, and individuals varying in age, interests, and with various degrees of comfort in outdoor elements. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Food Handler Certification
      • Must be obtained within two weeks of start of employment
    • Ability to follow direction
    • Strong communication skills
    • Friendly Team-Player
    • Line or grill cook experience preferred but not required

    As a Camp Concierge, you are often the first point of contact for our guests on site, and you play a critical role in setting the tone for the duration of their stay. Engage with guests from the moment they arrive on site through the duration of their stay. Your goal is to ensure our guests have everything they need to relax and enjoy being outside together with family, friends, and nature. We cater to a diverse range of guests including groups, families, and individuals varying in age, interests, and with various degrees of comfort in outdoor elements. This is a seasonal, hourly position and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of employment.

    • Greet and check in guests at the reception desk before assisting them with transportation to their tent. taking them on a tour of the camp, showcasing our amenities, activities, and food and beverage services
    • Your positive attitude, ability to listen to guests, and predict and respond to their needs in a timely manner for the duration of their stay will lead to consistently positive guest feedback
    • Collaborate and interact professionally with guests and co-workers
    • You value teamwork, quickly step in to help others
